The Imperial couple, Prince and Princess Akishino, have concluded their official visit to Vietnam, which marked the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam. During their visit, the couple inspected prominent historical sites in central Vietnam. In other news, a fatal accident occurred on the Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway in Yokohama. A bicycle collided with a car, resulting in the death of the cyclist. The police suspect that the cyclist mistakenly entered the expressway and are investigating the details of the incident. Moving on, the mayor of Manazuru Town in Kanagawa Prefecture has been ousted from office following a recall vote. The mayor had illegally copied the electoral roll for personal gain during elections. The majority of the votes cast were in favor of the recall, leading to the mayor’s dismissal. In a separate incident, a popular musician known as CHEHON has been arrested in Aichi Prefecture on suspicion of possessing marijuana. Furthermore, a 25-year-old restaurant employee has been arrested in Yokohama in connection with a hit-and-run incident involving the death of an elderly woman. The suspect claimed to have thought they had hit a cat or something similar. Lastly, the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line, which had been temporarily suspended due to a personal accident, has resumed operation between Toyocho Station and Kasai Station.
