It has been revealed that the researcher also held positions as a university professor and a corporate executive in China. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police are investigating the details of the information leak and whether the researcher violated any procedures.

In other news, a male worker performing transformer maintenance on the JR Uchibo Line in Futtsu City, Chiba Prefecture, was electrocuted and died. The incident occurred during the early morning hours of the 16th. The exact cause of the accident is under investigation.

The self-defense force and the police are investigating the details of the interaction between the two individuals leading up to the incident.

In the case of the murder of four individuals, including a female and a police officer, in Nakano City, Nagano Prefecture, the police plan to re-arrest the suspect on the 16th for the additional charge of killing the second police officer.

In entertainment news, actor Ayato Nagayama has been arrested by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police on suspicion of possessing marijuana.
