In today’s news, a powerful typhoon, Typhoon No. 6, is expected to approach Okinawa and the Amami Islands from the 31st to the 1st of next month. The typhoon is currently moving north-northwest over the sea east of the Philippines and is forecasted to come close to Okinawa and Amami with strong force. On the 31st, violent winds and extremely rough seas are expected, so please exercise extreme caution against strong winds and high waves.

In other news, a dangerous heatwave is expected today with temperatures reaching up to 39 degrees Celsius in some regions. It is advised to continue using air conditioning appropriately and to stay hydrated by regularly drinking water, even if you don’t feel thirsty, in order to prevent heatstroke.

Moving on, the Osaka-Kansai Expo, scheduled for the coming year, is considering urging the business community to purchase approximately 7 million advance tickets. The Expo organizing committee aims to ensure stable operation by selling advance tickets to the business community, but it remains to be seen how companies will respond.

In a somber anniversary, the unsolved case of the Hachioji Supermarket triple murder remains unresolved after 28 years. Three part-time female high school students were killed by a gunman in Hachioji City, Tokyo. The Metropolitan Police Department continues to appeal for information regarding the case.

Tragedy struck in Tokyo’s Higashimurayama City as a couple in their 90s and 80s were found dead in their home. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police are investigating the possibility of heatstroke as the cause of their deaths, based on the circumstances at the scene.

In another heartbreaking incident, a 13-year-old female middle school student in Yamagata’s Yonezawa City collapsed and was later pronounced dead after showing symptoms of heatstroke.
