In today’s news, a standoff at a post office in Saitama has ended with the discovery of a rope believed to have been prepared to restrain the hostage. The 86-year-old suspect had taken a hostage at the post office in Warabi City, and police found a nylon rope approximately 10 meters long, along with other items such as knives and containers with liquid. The police are investigating the incident as a planned act.
Amid escalating tensions in Israel and Palestine, 46 Japanese nationals and others have been evacuated from Israel on a Self-Defense Force aircraft. They are expected to arrive at Haneda Airport on the 3rd of November.
