First, in Okinawa, the deadline for the approval of the construction of the new US military base in Henoko is today. The court has ordered the prefecture to approve the construction, and the governor, Denny Tamaki, will make the final decision after considering the opinions of experts and officials.
Moving on to our second story, the number of disabled people employed by companies required by law to do so has reached a record high of over 640,000 nationwide. However, only half of the companies have achieved the mandated employment rate, according to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
